Second Story Designs was created by Chris Gustafson as a way of better serving customers and providing unique services in the fields of web design and development, custom office applications and home technology consulting.

Second Story Designs recognized a need for small and mid-sized businesses as well as homeowners.  Small to mid-sized businesses didn't have access to the kind of IT support that a larger organization (or simply one with more capital) might have.  Start-up companies especially can benefit from Second Story Designs by controlling costs and getting their projects done quickly and efficiently.

Homeowners too don't have access to the kind of help others with a larger budget might have.  Also, budget doesn't always mean the right answers.  It's frustrating to spend a lot of money and make the wrong decision.  Second Story realized that as important as having a job done right is understanding the job to do before starting it.
